The only progess i made is that when i pause the download and resume it about 100mb is kept and it progresses to about 1.1GB but this doesn’t work because at about 1.8GB only 400-500mb survive the stopping and resuming of the download no mather how often i restopp and reresume it.Īny fix would be fine i could probably fix it by downloading GTA v “Somewhere else” and then just run the file integrity check of the launcher on it but i really want to avoid having to download it from “somewhere else” or trying to copy it from a windows pc. it’s not a broken progress bar since donwload speed works fine and keeping it running for more then 7 hours did nothing (the download should have been completed between 4 and 5 hours according to both my calculation and the download estimationg of the launcher) i checked my network activity and it’s really using the amount of internet the download speed tells me. But then when i try to download GTA V (i own the Rockstar version, no steam download) it downloads about 1Gb and then it keeps using all my internet but the progress isn’t going further than 1GB. Anything else i can try to make it work?Ĭould it be a DRM related issue as i changed my GPU and it might have it flagged? But the launcher outright crashes which makes me think its not drm thing.So thanks to the amazing work of everybody the new rockstar launcher installs and runs fine. I really don't want to uninstall and download 65 GB again as it will take more then a day on my meagre 12 Mbit connection.
Its also worth mentioning here that out of more then 10 games that i tried after installing my GTX 1080 works perfectly fine, its only GTA V that refuse to start and crashes. I ofcourse uninstalled all NVIDIA entries and reinstalled drivers after plugging in my GTX 1080. You thinking that Windows Anti-Virus Defender is complete BS.
I was running GTX 970 SLI and swapped it for a single GTX 1080. Research on PlayGTA.exe, GTAVLauncher.exe, GTAV.exe, and other files. The only thing that i have changed in my PC is my GPU yesterday. I have tried closing and re running steam and couple of reboots too. Whenever i launch GTA V from steam, the launcher screen comes, log me in and then it crashes on social club screen and this problem is not going away itself. When i start GTA V after a while like a month or so there is some kind of problem with launcher that fixes itself the next time i run GTA V but this time it is not going away. Theres little doubt that Grand Theft Auto V is one of the biggest games of all time. EDIT: Re-installing NVIDIA drivers and verifying game cache as well as temporarily moving GTA V settings file in documents fixed this problem for me.Įvery once in a while i play GTA online to check out the latest rockstar updates.
